Laboratory of Advanced Nanomaterials, WHU

Prof. Lei Fu received his B.S. degree in chemistry from Wuhan University in 2001. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2006. After obtaining his Ph. D, he worked as a Director’s Postdoctoral Fellow at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), USA (2006-2007). In the end of 2007, he became an associate professor of Peking University in Center for Nanochemistry. In 2012, he joined Wuhan University as a full professor in College of Chemistry and Molecular Science. Until now, he has published over 110 peer reviewed papers. The academic awards he received include, Outstanding Young Faculty Award, Peking University (2010), Outstanding Young Scientist Award, Chinese Chemical Society (2012), Outstanding Youth Foundation, National Natural Science Foundation (2013), Outstanding Young Scientists, Wuhan City (2014), and Yangtze River Young Scholar, Ministry of Education (2016).

To find a reasonable way for controlled CVD growth and novel property exploration of 2D atomic layer thin crystals (eg. graphene, TMDs and various heterostructures).
